SENATOBIA - Although the College National Finals Rodeo concluded just over a week ago, the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association has already announced the fall portion of the Ozark Region schedule.
Five events will make up the Fall 2024 slate, beginning with the Viking Stampede, hosted by Missouri Valley College. Held in Marshall, Mo, the event is scheduled for the weekend of September 19-21.
From there, Northwest will compete at the University of West Alabama from September 26-28, followed by the Boll Weevil Stampede from October 3-5 at the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
Two final events are slated to wrap up fall competition, with the first at Southern Arkansas University from October 10-12 and the fall finale at Murray State University from November 14-16.
Northwest is coming off one of its most successful seasons in the program's history, as the Ranger men finished 22nd in the nation and third in the NIRA Ozark Region. Five members of the Northwest men's team competed in the CNFR, including team roper
Laine Moore, who finished fourth in the average standings and first in the Saturday evening short-go.
