GOODMAN - An early 12-1 deficit set the tone for Northwest in Monday evening's 78-53 loss at Holmes.
Holmes kept a lid on the Lady Rangers' scoring all night, preventing any players from reaching double figures in points or rebounds. Northwest fell to 10-4 on the season and 2-1 in the MACCC, as the Lady Bulldogs moved to 10-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
An 8-1 deficit for Northwest eventually swelled to a 22-9 hole by the end of the opening quarter. Although the Lady Rangers would eventually pick up the pace on offense and even cut the score down to eight, Holmes still led 40-29 at the halftime break.
