PERKINSTON - In a surprising turn of events Friday, a decision has been made by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference to reschedule the season-opening contest between No. 3 Northwest and Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Northwest will make the trek back to MGCCC and A.L. May Memorial Stadium for a 4 P.M. kickoff on Saturday. However, due to personnel conflicts, the game will be carried by Mississippi Gulf Coast only. Fans can click here to access the broadcast.

According to the MACCC, the ruling was reversed to meet the MACCC Handbook provision that states "football games postponed due to inclement weather must be made up within 48 hours".

Live stats will not be available for Saturday's contest, but scoring updates will still be provided via Twitter (@NWCC_Rangers).
