Burgess Places Second; Takes Region Lead in Bull Riding

POPLARVILLE - Bull rider Colby Burgess brought Northwest 100 points, helping the Ranger men to an eighth-place finish in last weekend's PRCC Rodeo.

Burgess, a sophomore from Houlka, finished second in the first round and second in the average, moving to the top of the Ozark Region bull riding standings.

Northwest will have a weekend off before resuming action in the Boll Weevil Stampede, scheduled for April 6-8 at Arkansas-Monticello.
