SIKESTON, Mo. - For the third straight weekend, Northwest took home a top finish in the steer wrestling event.

This time, it was freshman Will Collier that came away as the big winner for the Ranger men, as the Malden, Mo. native took home a 14.1 score and helped the Rangers garner a third place team finish.

Collier was one of five Rangers to place in steer wrestling, as Wyatt Newman, Henry Burgess, Laine Moore and Kent Jordan all finished fifth through eighth.

Burgess also placed second in both tie-down roping and the men's all-around, earning 200 points for the Rangers. Moore earned fifth in the all-around for Northwest, garnering 140 points, while also earning fourth in team roping with his partner Tanner Brown (East Mississippi).

Christian Cagle also logged 109 points for Northwest in saddle bronc riding.

As a team, Northwest collected 525 team points, finishing just behind the 755 points accrued by weekend winner Missouri Valley College and the 610 points earned by runner-up West Alabama. The Rangers currently sit in third in the Ozark Region standings, totaling 1,210 points.

Northwest will have roughly a month-long break before returning to action from November 2-4 at Southern Arkansas University.
