Box Score WESSON - Three first half goals from Copiah-Lincoln buried Northwest on Tuesday afternoon, as the Rangers dropped a 6-1 decision to the Wolves.
Soren Voges-Haupt provided the lone goal for the Rangers in the 65th minute, thanks to an assist by
Gabriel Burton. By then, Northwest was already trailing 4-1 after trailing 3-0 at halftime.
From there, the Wolves provided two additional goals to further confirm the victory. With the win, Copiah-Lincoln moved into the seventh place spot in the MACCC standings with a 4-5-5 overall mark and a 3-3-3 conference record, as Northwest fell to eighth place at 4-9 on the season and a 4-5 MACCC record.
Northwest is now in must-win mode for the final two matches of the regular season. The Rangers will close out things with No. 6 Jones College and Pearl River, which currently sit at second and fourth respectively in the conference standings.
Friday's home finale against Jones College will also serve as Sophomore Day for Northwest. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 P.M., with Sophomore Day ceremonies taking place prior to first kick.
