SENATOBIA - With the conclusion of the weekend's Ranger Rodeo, Northwest has officially put the wraps on another Ozark Region season.
Although Northwest did not have any riders qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo, the Rangers did have several athletes place within the top 10 of the final Ozark Region standings. Bull rider
Colby Burgess was one of those, finishing tied for fifth in the region standings with UT Martin's Wyatt Hart, as both finished with 320 points on the season.
Two more Rangers also capped off the season in the top 10 for bull riding, as
Cody Gilbert's 110 points placed him ninth in the final standings, while Zachary Johnson finished 10th with 100 points. On the women's squad, freshman
Riley Kate Lenagar also placed seventh in barrel racing, earning 235 season points.
Northwest finished ninth in the Ozark Region team standings, earning 235 total points and placing above Central Methodist University (10th) and Murray State University (11th). The Ranger men ended the year with a 10th-place result and 530 team points.
