SENATOBIA - Less than a month following the conclusion of the 2021-22 rodeo season, Northwest has already turned toward the future, securing a new signee on Tuesday afternoon.

DeSoto Christian Academy senior Darby Toole signed with coach Shelli Benton's program, bringing along an extensive rodeo background. One of her most recent accomplishments came last year, when she finished in the top seven of the National Little Britches rodeo competition for barrel racing.

Over the past several years, Toole has competed with the Mississippi Little Britches Association, where she has qualified for nationals in barrel racing, breakaway roping and pole bending. She is the recipient of the Scott Potts Memorial Scholarship and also graduated with honors as a member of the National Honor Society.

Northwest will begin its 2022-23 season in September, with the full Ozark Region schedule slated to be released later this summer.
