RAYMOND - A pair of Hinds' goals in the final five minutes of regulation erased a 2-1 lead for Northwest, as the Rangers fell 3-2 in a tough North Division battle on Friday evening.

Greg Anderson delivered the first Hinds goal 15 minutes into the match, which provided the Eagles with a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Northwest finally struck early in the second half, as Braylon Kettler connected with Koby Rhone for the tying goal in the 50th minute. Later, Sidney Black, Jr. would add a score of his own on an unassisted goal in the 65th minute, giving the Rangers a 2-1 advantage.

Northwest held the lead until the 85th minute, when Hinds tied things up on a goal from Joseph Cumberland. Three minutes later, the Eagles delivered the dagger on a score from Satsuki Mori, dropping the Rangers to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in MACCC North Division competition.

Freshman Xzavier Paylor logged 14 saves in the loss for Northwest, tying his career-high for the third time this season.

Northwest will look to bounce back in the win column on Tuesday, September 21, as the Rangers host Itawamba at 3 P.M. The match will be held at the Senatobia Sports Park and will be carried live on Ranger TV (nwccrangers.com/watch) and Facebook Live.
