RAYMOND - A pair of Hinds' goals in the final five minutes of regulation erased a 2-1 lead for Northwest, as the Rangers fell 3-2 in a tough North Division battle on Friday evening.
Greg Anderson delivered the first Hinds goal 15 minutes into the match, which provided the Eagles with a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Northwest finally struck early in the second half, as
Braylon Kettler connected with
Koby Rhone for the tying goal in the 50th minute. Later,
Sidney Black, Jr. would add a score of his own on an unassisted goal in the 65th minute, giving the Rangers a 2-1 advantage.
Northwest held the lead until the 85th minute, when Hinds tied things up on a goal from Joseph Cumberland. Three minutes later, the Eagles delivered the dagger on a score from Satsuki Mori, dropping the Rangers to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in MACCC North Division competition.
Freshman
Xzavier Paylor logged 14 saves in the loss for Northwest, tying his career-high for the third time this season.
