NIRA Releases Fall Schedule for Ozark Region

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - A week after welcoming seven newcomers to the roster, the Northwest rodeo program has revealed its Fall 2021 competition slate.

Competing once again in the Ozark Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, the Rangers will open the new season in the Viking Stampede at Missouri Valley College, which begins Thursday, September 23 and runs through Saturday, Sept. 25 in Marshall, Mo.

Northwest will have a short turnaround following the event, as the Rangers then travel to West Alabama from Thursday, Sept. 30 to Saturday, October 2.

After nearly a two-week break, the Rangers are expected to make the trek back to Missouri for a weekend event at Three Rivers College from Oct. 14-16. A pair of November trips to Southern Arkansas University and Murray State will close out the fall portion of the schedule.

Northwest finished the 2020-21 season ranked ninth in the men's Ozark Region standings, while the Lady Rangers came away with a 10th place finish ahead of Three Rivers and Murray State. The 2022 spring schedule will be released later in the year.
