Box Score FULTON - Freshman guard Tierra Trotter scored 20 points in an impressive performance for Northwest, but it wasn't enough to upend Itawamba in a 72-55 loss on Saturday afternoon.

Fellow freshman teammate I'Yana Ragin also reached double figures for the Lady Rangers with a 13-point performance. For Trotter, Saturday marked her third 20-point game of the season.

Northwest fell to 4-7 overall and saw its losing streak stretch to five games. Itawamba improved to 8-2 on the season and collected its sixth win in seven games. 

Itawamba led by just four at the end of the first quarter before stretching its lead to 39-26 at halftime. The Lady Rangers gained some momentum back in the second half and outscored ICC 13-10 in the third quarter, but Itawamba finished the final 10 minutes on a 23-16 stretch to pull away at the end.

Northwest will aim to snap its losing skid on Thursday, March 18 with a road matchup at Coahoma. This will be the third meeting against the Lady Rangers and Lady Tigers and Coahoma has taken the first two matchups.
