Northwest fell to 4-7 overall and saw its losing streak stretch to five games. Itawamba improved to 8-2 on the season and collected its sixth win in seven games.Â
Itawamba led by just four at the end of the first quarter before stretching its lead to 39-26 at halftime. The Lady Rangers gained some momentum back in the second half and outscored ICC 13-10 in the third quarter, but Itawamba finished the final 10 minutes on a 23-16 stretch to pull away at the end.
Northwest will aim to snap its losing skid on Thursday, March 18 with a road matchup at Coahoma. This will be the third meeting against the Lady Rangers and Lady Tigers and Coahoma has taken the first two matchups.
