CLARKSDALE - Coahoma jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back, as Northwest fell 68-33 on Thursday evening.

Northwest trailed by just seven at halftime, but the Lady Tigers quickly opened the second half by pushing their lead to 10. Coahoma would eventually go on to outscore the Lady Rangers 40-12 in the second half.

Thursday marked the largest loss for the Lady Rangers since a 97-58 decision at Mississippi Delta on January 11, 2007.

I'Yana Ragin led Northwest with 10 points and Morgan Hodum led the Lady Rangers with seven rebounds.

Coahoma was led by 17 points from Jurnee McLaurin and a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double from Nakia Cheatham.

Northwest shot 20 percent from the floor and was outscored 30-6 in the paint.

Up next for Northwest is a road date at Itawamba on Saturday, March 13 at 2 P.M. The Lady Rangers will be looking to avenge a 69-65 loss against the Lady Indians on February 22.
