LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Sophomore Cade Cowan and freshman Jacob Hodges finished with 80 points each in their respective events as the Northwest men's rodeo team tied for a sixth place finish at last weekend's Ozark Region event at West Alabama.

Along with team roping partner Cannon Smith of Three Rivers College, Cowan collected 80 points for the Rangers after netting 40 in the second round with the additional 40 factoring in from his average time of 29.4

In bull riding, Hodges compiled 80 points after finishing third overall behind event-winner Dustin Herman (West Alabama) and runner-up Kolten Achenbach (Missouri Valley College). Freshman Beau Ary also competed in the event but received no time.

Northwest will continue the fall portion of its schedule at Three Rivers College this weekend, beginning Thursday, Oct. 3 through Saturday, Oct. 5 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
