Rangers Shutout by Hinds in Home Curtain-Closer

SENATOBIA – A hat trick from Hinds' Andrew Klinck made the difference in Friday's home finale, as Northwest fell to the visiting Eagles 4-0.

Northwest fell to 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the division, while Hinds improved to 6-4 on the season and 5-3 in division play.

Klinck's first goal came 11 minutes into the match and his second followed just before halftime, with Raphael Da Silva assisting both scores.

Hinds quickly set the tone for the second half with Klinck's third goal on a pass from Beau Rimmer in the 49th minute. The Eagles would add one final goal in the 78th minute from Justin Phipps for the 4-0 final.

Northwest was outshot 24-12, but had chances to get on the board with six shots on goal. Freshman forward Eric Izaguirre had two of the Rangers' on-goal attempts.

Freshman keeper Tim Houston set a new career-high of 12 saves in the loss, good for his fifth match of double-digit saves this season.

The Rangers will head to Holmes on Monday, Oct. 15 to conclude the 2018 season. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. from Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.
