FULTON – Host Itawamba jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the game's first 14 minutes and tacked on three more goals in the second half to pull away with a 5-0 win over Northwest on Monday afternoon.
Still searching for its first win since the season opener, Northwest dropped to 1-5-1 overall and 0-4 in the division. Itawamba improved to 4-3-1 and 3-0-1 in the MACJC North.

Carson Tackett one-on-one to the goal.
Chase Huddleston then followed with a 35-yard booming shot into the right corner of the box in the 14th minute that gave ICC a comfortable 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Indians followed with three additional scores in the second half to cruise to the division victory.
Scoring opportunities were few and far between for Northwest, as the Rangers were outshot 24-8, including 15-3 on goal.
Tackett collected 10 saves for the match, his fourth double-digit save performance of his Northwest career.
Northwest will return to action on Friday, Oct. 6 at Holmes. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Ridgeland.
