SENATOBIA – Northwest will partner with the Chris Hope Foundation at Thursday night's football game against Itawamba during Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
September is a time to honor and remember children and families affected by these rare diseases and help rally support to give kids with cancer better outcomes by supporting groundbreaking research.
During the month of September, 25,000 families around the world will get the horrible news that their child or teen has cancer. Almost 6,700 families will experience the loss of a child, while more children are being diagnosed with cancer today than ever before.
At halftime Thursday night, members of both cheer programs as well as individuals, friends and family affected by this disease will join together to release yellow balloons that symbolize hope, to help raise funds for research and to provide family support.
If you and/or your family has been affected by childhood cancer and you would like to participate, we invite you to join us on the field at halftime. Please email
