JUCO Weekly to Launch FB Scoreboard Show

JACKSON – The Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) and JUCO Weekly have partnered with SuperTalk Mississippi to debut nine (9) sixty (60) minute statewide weekly JUCO football radio scoreboard shows.

The Mississippi JUCO Football Scoreboard Show will air each Thursday night beginning at 10pm CT and concluding at 11pm CT. The show begins August 28th, 2014 and concludes Thursday October 23rd, 2014.

"To team with SuperTalk Mississippi provides a tremendous opportunity, as it gives the MACJC access to an established statewide radio audience. SuperTalk Mississippi has built an impeccable reputation with the public and the corporate community over its many years of service and we are very excited about this partnership" says JUCO Weekly Founder Mike Frazer.

The Mississippi JUCO Football Scoreboard Show will feature game scores, game recaps from media members, current MACJC standings, current MACJC player statistics and rankings, team rankings, player of the week selections, and announce the current MACJC student athletes who are receiving interest from senior colleges and universities from around the country. The show will also announce the current national top 20 poll that is released weekly by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

MACJC Director of Athletics and Activities Jim Southward is excited to see the MACJC make the move to statewide radio and SuperTalk Mississippi. "We hope that people across the state of Mississippi will tune in. Mississippi community and junior college football has an incredible history in Mississippi. Each of our community and junior college programs offer tremendous opportunities to our students in athletics, in the academic fields, the technical programs, in workforce training, and in our vocational programs."

SuperTalk Mississippi will air the scoreboard show on each of its eleven (11) radio stations across the state.

"The Mississippi Community & Junior college system has had such a monumental impact on the state athletically and academically for generations. The success that the MACJC has had in athletics, particularly in football, is flat out impressive and we want to be a bell horn for the league" said SuperTalk Mississippi Program Director David Day. 
 
Day also said, "Airing a MS JUCO football scoreboard show that showcases the leagues talent and promotes the MACJC's overall impact to the state is in harmony of what were about here at SuperTalk Mississippi".

The JUCO Football Scoreboard Show will be hosted by Mike Frazer with a co-host to be named at a later date.

In addition to listening to the program on your local SuperTalk Mississippi station, The Mississippi JUCO Football Scoreboard Show will be streamed "live" online at www.supertalk.fm and also at www.jucoweekly.org.

The JUCO Weekly website turns four years old today and is designed to provide in depth coverage of Mississippi junior and community college athletics.
