SENATOBIA – First-year head football coach
Jack Wright and his staff signed 36 players to national letters of intent on Wednesday, Feb. 5 as part of National Signing Day around college football.
"Based solely on what was signed today, it's hard to imagine doing any better," Wright said. "We are better today. We improved at every position, especially in the trenches. I couldn't be prouder of the work our coaching staff invested in this class."
Out of the 36 players signed, 14 of those came in Northwest's old 11-county district. Recruiting rules changed in 2012 when the entire state of Mississippi became fair ground. Keeping players close to home was a huge point of emphasis by Wright and his staff in 2014.
