Box Score SENATOBIA – Dylan Howard scored twice for Itawamba in the 11th and 70th minutes to lift the visiting Indians to a 2-0 win over Northwest on Tuesday afternoon. 

Itawamba improved to 11-1 overall and 3-1 in the north while Northwest fell to 5-7 and 1-4.

Howard broke a scoreless tie just 10:12 into the match with a double assisted effort from Anthony Fernandez and Alx Little for a 1-0 ICC lead that would hold through the first half. 

He added his second at the 69:22-mark off a Kit Huddleston assist, enough for a 2-0 victory. 

Josh Delgado and Matthew Williams split time in net for the Rangers, with Delgado playing the first 45 minutes and picking up three saves and Williams playing the final 45 and adding four saves. Reigning NJCAA Goalie of the Week, Ben Schaefer, had three stops for ICC.

ICC outshot Northwest 21-8 and owned a 5-1 edge on corner kicks. The teams combined for 22 fouls (11 apiece) and two yellow cards.

Northwest will take to the road on Saturday, Oct. 11, traveling to Hinds for a 5 p.m. kickoff in Raymond.
