Monique Biggins Inks with UA-Monticello

MONTICELLO, Ark. – Monique Biggins will continue her basketball career after Northwest and has signed her national letter of intent for head coach Tanya Ray and the University of Arkansas-Monticello.

"Monique is what I would call a utility player," Ray said. "Those type of players add value to a program. She is athletic and can guard almost every position on the floor. Monique is the type of player that will do whatever you ask of her. Whether it's scoring 15 points, grabbing 10 rebounds or locking down the opponent's best player, she's up for the challenge. She just finds a way to get it done on the court."

Biggins averaged 10.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.6 assists-per-game in 47 career games (45 starts) for Northwest. She shot 46 percent from the floor and 63 percent from the charity stripe.

The Horn Lake native also added 16 career double-doubles and was selected to the Region 23 All-Tournament Team and was selected to participate in the MACJC All-Star game as a sophomore.
