SENATOBIA – The ninth stop of the Ozark Region Intercollegiate Rodeo Tour brings the Landers Dodge Ranger Rodeo to the Northwest Community College Multipurpose Arena from Thursday-Saturday, April 7-9, beginning at 7:30 each night.
Collegiate cowboys and cowgirls from 20 colleges and universities across a seven state area will converge on Senatobia for three nights of action as they ride and rope, hoping to garner points that will qualify them to compete at the College National Finals this June in Casper, Wyo.
Rodeo fans will have the opportunity to see some of the rankest livestock in the country, as the big trucks from the Universal Rodeo company roll into town.
With bulls making recent television appearances at the Chicago PBR event and several bucking horses that have National Finals Rodeo credentials, fans are sure to see plenty of great rides and wild wrecks over the weekend.
Rodeo funny man Jason Farley makes his College Rodeo debut during this event. Voted twice as Arkansas' Pro Rodeo Entertainer of the Year, Farley keeps the laughs rolling as he dodges bulls and imparts his own style of fun and excitement to fans.
Tickets are on sale now at the NWCC Foundation Office and the Tate County Co-Op in Senatobia. General admission is $10, while children six and under are free.
Thursday, April 7 is NWCC Night, with free admission with a NWCC ID, while Friday is 95.3 The Rebel Night and Saturday is Armed Forces Night where all military personnel are admitted free with Military ID.
