SENATOBIA – Fans of professional bull riding will want to arrive early for a close-up view of the action at this year's Landers Dodge Bull-O-Rama presented by 95.3 The Rebel at Northwest Mississippi Community College's Multipurpose Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15.
A mutton busting contest, sponsored by Latham's Boots, will also be held at 7 p.m. for ages 6-and-under or under 60-pounds.
Admission is $10 for the public, $8 in advance and $2 off with a Northwest ID. Kids 6-and-under are admitted free. Doors open at 6 p.m. and advance tickets are available at the Tate County Co-op.
The livestock for the event will be provided by John Wall of Milan, Tenn., and Jim Bollinger of Ravenden, Ark. – both stock contractors are renowned for providing exceptional stock featured in Professional Bull Rider (PBR) events around the country. One of Bollinger's top bulls, White Fang, has appeared at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and was ridden by Professional Riding Championship Association World Champion Matt Austin at Omaha for an astounding 92 points.
This action-packed event will feature some of the region's most accomplished cowboys, Michael Crenshaw of Hernando, Lucas Boatwright of Olive Branch and Brian Dowdy of Pontotoc. Boatwright and Dowdy were both CNFR qualifiers in Wyoming the previous two years.
Five-time IFR Funnyman of the Year, Dusty Myers, of Jumpertown will entertain fans and scheduled to compete at this year's event are last year's champ and former PBR world finalist Willis Trosclair and Top 30 PRCA cowboy, Brent Menz.
