Taylor King had a blazing month of April to help the Rangers to a 13-3 overall record and 11-3 mark in division play.
King boosted his batting average almost 100 points by hitting .510 (26-for-51) with five doubles, four home runs, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He added five walks, a stolen base and seven hit-by-pitches to set a new single-season school record with 16 for the season. He also slugged .843 with a .594 on-base percentage.
King is hitting .381 on the season (fourth on the team) with 16 doubles, two triples and 36 RBIs.
