Sophomore shortstop LeeMarcus Boyd hit .500 (15-for-30) in the month of February with five doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs, 11 runs scored and six stolen bases, and has been named Northwest's Co-Athlete of the Month.

Boyd, a USM signee, has reached base safely in 24 straight games dating back to last season and has helped the Rangers to 40 wins (so far). His .531 on-base percentage and .867 slugging percentage also leads the team.
