FULTON - At Johnson-Parlow Tennis Courts, Northwest Mississippi Community College women's (5-5) and men's (6-5) tennis team earn a vital victory over top 25 conference foe Itawamba Community College. The women clinched an 8-1 victory while the men clinched a 6-3 victory. 

Only dropping one court across the entire match, the women dominated from the moment they stepped on the court, sweeping the doubles courts and winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets. No Ranger gave up more than three games in their singles victory. 

Although the men's team still earned a conference victory, their match was a closer contest than the women's team. After sweeping the doubles courts, Northwest would clinch the victory by winning three singles courts as well.   

Sophomores Holden Cooke and Jordan Mitchell only dropped three games across their two match wins. The highlight of the contest was a ten-point match tiebreaker victory for Brady Holliman after losing the first set.  

The Rangers will travel to Perkinston to take on ranked conference foe Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday, March 24 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.
