TYLER, Texas - Although a pair of losses in the consolation semifinals of doubles competition ended the national tournament run for Northwest, the Lady Rangers still recorded an impressive 13th-place finish in the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships.

Northwest finished 16th at last year's event, and tied Hinds and USC-Sumter for this year's 13th-place result. A total of 77 teams compete in women's tennis at the NJCAA Division I level and 28 of those teams earned bids to the national tournament.

Northwest finished the season with a 10-6 overall record and a 6-3 mark in the MACCC. The Lady Rangers were also a mainstay in the ITA JUCO Rankings, entering the postseason at No. 20 overall.
