Women's Golf Earns At-Large Bid to National Tournament

NJCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships scheduled for May 13-16

SENATOBIA - After returning home from a sixth-place finish at the NJCAA South District Tournament, the Northwest women's golf team received more good news on Friday afternoon, earning an at-large bid to the inaugural NJCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships.

Scheduled for May 13-16 at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone, Iowa, the tournament field contains 15 teams and nine individuals. The Lady Rangers were the only NJCAA Region 23 program to receive a bid and were one of six from the NJCAA South District, joining Alabama programs Shelton State, Snead State, Jefferson State, Southern Union State and Wallace State-Hanceville.

This marks the first national appearance for the women's golf program, which began competition ahead of the 2024-25 season. The last national tournament appearance for men's golf came in an individual appearance for Cameron Foster, who was a medalist in the 2017 NJCAA District D Championship.

More tournament information will be announced in the coming weeks.
