FLORENCE, S.C. - Northwest sophomore
Joshua Tedford continued his run in the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships on Thursday morning, advancing to the finals of the consolation draw.
Tedford scored an 8-0 shutout over Enrique Urquidi of Mesa Community College in flight five. The Columbus native will advance to Friday morning's finals against Pavle Markus of Seward County Community College.

Cole Stoddard dropped an 8-2 decision to Alex Tiffon (Iowa Central Community College) in the consolation semifinals of flight four singles.Â
Northwest currently sits in 15th out of 27 competing teams in the tournament, with a current total of 13 points. The Rangers are the third-highest MACCC program in the tournament field, trailing only Mississippi Gulf Coast (20.5 points) and Jones College (14.5 points.)
