Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ELLISVILLE - Northwest men's tennis freshman Cole Stoddard was the lone Ranger to record a win in Friday's losses at nationally-ranked Jones College.

Stoddard, a native of Hernando, picked up a gritty win against Ridge Jones in the No. 4 singles slot, rebounding from a 6-3 loss in the opening set and battling back in the tiebreaker.

As for Northwest, the 18th-ranked Rangers dropped an 8-1 loss to No. 13 Jones College, while the No. 19 Lady Rangers fell 9-0 to the 10th-ranked Lady Bobcats.

With the losses, Northwest ends the regular season with an overall men's record of 10-4 and a 7-3 mark in the MACCC. The Lady Rangers dropped to 9-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play.

Both teams will be part of the upcoming NJCAA Region 23 Tournament, marking the third straight postseason appearance for the Lady Rangers and the second in three years for the Northwest men.
