Box Score GOODMAN - Using four shutout victories in singles' play and a clean sweep in doubles competition, the 18th-ranked Northwest men's tennis team left Holmes with a 9-0 shutout on Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Joshua Tedford and freshmen Holden Cooke, Luca Morris and Miguel Lazaga Robayna all defeated their respective opponents in straight sets. The doubles tandem of Morris and Lazaga Robayna also picked up an 8-0 shutout at No. 1 doubles.

With the victory, the Rangers moved to 10-2 on the season and 7-1 in the MACCC. The Lady Rangers did not play, due to Holmes not fielding a women's team.

Northwest is scheduled to host Itawamba on Tuesday, March 25 for the program's final home match of the season. The Lady Rangers will face a 16th-ranked Lady Indians squad, while the men's matchup will be against the No. 17 Indians.

First serve is scheduled for 2 P.M. at The ROC (Ranger Outdoor Complex).
