Northwest Finishes Seventh at Snead State Spring Invitational

MOBILE, Ala. - Though Northwest didn't waver from its position on the second day of the Snead State Spring Invitational, the Lady Rangers still came away with a seventh-place result in the first event of the 2025 calendar.

Northwest retained its seventh place slot, finishing +240 with an overall stroke of 816. The Lady Rangers finished ahead of three other teams, including fellow MACCC foe Pearl River, which placed eighth. Shelton State won the event, shooting 63 over par, as the other nine teams in the field of competition finished +100 or more.

Freshman Carinton Davis provided the best individual finish for Northwest, ending with a three-way tie on the leaderboard for 26th with the Southern Union State duo of Cameron Campbell and Anna Beth Cooper. Davis shot +46 with a stroke of 190, followed by Maddie Baker at No. 37, who finished 55 over par with a 199 stroke.

Addison Forbes and Zae'ja Davis rounded out the Lady Rangers' representation on the player leaderboard, placing 39th and 45th, respectively.

Northwest will resume competition over Spring Break, taking part in the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate Invitational on March 10-11. The event is hosted by Brenau University and will take place at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
