SENATOBIA - Northwest Mississippi Community College (4-2) got an emphatic 3-0 sweep over Rust College, shaking off a loss in their previous match
In dominating fashion, the Rangers won the first set 25-11, the second set 25-3, and the third set 25-8. In the second set win, Northwest hit an impressive .706 hitting percentage.
Ariana Woods once again led the team in kills with six and picking up a solo block along the way in a match that didn't take much from the Rangers attack to pick up the win.
A big part of that was because of the strong serving in a match that saw an impressive 18 aces with Reese McIntosh led the team with four.
Dallas White had as many assists as the entire Rust College Bearcat team with 12 assists while Chloe Rodriguez added 11.
Defensively, the team saw 11 players record a dig with McIntosh contributing over half of them with six.
The team will be back in action on the road in Booneville on Wednesday, August 27 at 6 p.m. when they take on the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers (2-6) in the MACCC opener.
