FULTON - On Saturday afternoon, the Northwest Mississippi Community College volleyball team (2-1) rebounded spectacularly after their first loss of the season and swept Bevill State Community College (2-1).
The Rangers dominated from start to finish, winning the first set 25-20, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-16.
Ariana Woods led the team with eight kills while Aven Mathis added seven.
Dallas White and Chloe Rodriguez contributed 16 and 10 assists respectively. This was White's third straight match with double digit assists.
Northwest is proving to be a force from the service line accumulating a season-high 13 aces and White had a team-leading six. This is the third match in a row that White has led the Rangers in aces.
Jania Rose and Hassie Clare Thurman provided a spark defensively for NWCC with Rose garnering 12 digs and Thurman picking up 11.
The team will play their last match in the Mississippi/Alabama Crossover tournament Saturday, August 23 at 3 p.m.
