Northwest volleyball controls match from start to finish to sweep Lewis and Clark

Callahan ties her career-high in kills with 10.

ULIN, ILL. - The Northwest Mississippi Community College volleyball team (6-2) controlled the match against Lewis and Clark Community College (3-3), sweeping the Trailblazers 25-14, 25-10, and 25-11 to open a two day road trip in Illinois and extend their winning streak to a season best three matches.

Adalyn Callahan led the Rangers in kills, tying her career-high with 10. Ariana Woods added seven of her own.  

In another phenomenal service performance from NWCC, Jania Rose led all players in aces with six. Dallas White added four while Chloe Fesperman and Hassie Clare Thurman both had two.  

Chloe Rodriguez and White were able to show their ability to run the Ranger offense by accumulating 12 assists each.  

In the match, Northwest shined defensively. Claire Roberts led the Rangers with four blocks while Daylin Johnson had three. Callahan and Reese McIntosh both contributed defensively with seven digs.  

The team will be back in action on the road in Ulin, Illinois, on Friday, August 29 at 5 p.m. when they take on the St. Louis Community College Archers (1-3).
