Women's Tennis Earns At-Large Bid for NJCAA National Championships

First trip in program history for Lady Rangers

TYLER, Texas - In his first season at the helm, Northwest women's tennis coach Andy Wolf can add "national tournament appearance" to his résumé.

For the first time in program history, the Northwest Lady Rangers are joining the field of competition at the 2024 NJCAA Division I National Championships, scheduled for May 4-8 in Tyler, Texas. This comes one year after the Ranger men made their first appearance in the national tournament.

"I am proud of the hard work that these ladies have put in over the last nine months," Wolf said, after Friday afternoon's announcement. "It is exciting to see them get to compete with the other top programs in the country."

Northwest finished the regular season with a 7-6 overall record, advancing to the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament earlier this month for the second consecutive season. The Lady Rangers sported a 4-5 mark in the MACCC and earned the conference's No. 6 seed in the region tournament.

This year's tournament is hosted by Tyler Junior College and will take place at the JoAnn Medlock Murphy Tennis Center. More details, including tournament draws, will be released when available on nwccrangers.com.
