TEMPE, Ariz. - After concluding the regular season with its second consecutive berth to the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament two weeks ago, the Northwest women's tennis team is still in the latest batch of the ITA JUCO Rankings.

Northwest is currently ranked No. 23 among other NJCAA programs in the updated rankings, released late last week. The Lady Rangers join seven other MACCC teams in the polls, including sixth-ranked Jones College, No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast, 14th-ranked Meridian, No. 15 Itawamba, 16th-ranked Copiah-Lincoln, No. 21 Hinds and 25th-ranked East Central.

Cowley (Kan.) remains as the No. 1 team in the rankings, followed by Hillsborough (Fla.) at No. 2. Tyler Junior College (Texas), Saint Petersburg (Fla.) and Eastern Florida State College round out the top five in slots 3-5, respectively.

Northwest finished the 2024 campaign with a 7-7 overall record. The Lady Rangers will await a chance for an at-large bid into the NJCAA Division I National Tournament, scheduled for May 4-8 in Tyler, Texas.
