Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SENATOBIA - Hosting its final home match of the 2024 season, the Northwest tennis teams came away with a split against Northeast on Sophomore Day at the Ranger Outdoor Complex.

Ranked 21st in the ITA JUCO Women's Rankings, the Lady Rangers took an 8-1 victory against Northeast, while the Northwest men dropped a 7-2 loss to the Tigers.

In doubles play, Holly Stewart and Grace Ann Wade pulled an 8-3 victory at court one against the Lady Tigers' duo of Jordyn Foster and Lee Ellen Kelley. The only Northeast point of the match came with a win at No. 2 doubles, before the Lady Rangers took court three by default.

From there, Northwest swept the field in singles competition, with freshman Allie Rawles taking a shutout win in straight sets at court five. Mattie Sanders delivered a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Wade earned a 6-3, 6-0 victory against Kelley on court three. 

Freshman Kendall Moody also earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles, while Stewart held off Allie Beth Gillespie in a second-set tiebreaker at court two. 

Northwest dropped all three men's doubles matches, but the Rangers took victories at No. 2 and No. 4 singles. Gabriel Koonce earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at court two against Tristan Webber, while Dallas Lane earned a 6-3, 6-7 (7) [10-8] victory against Brayden Hanna on court four.
