Box Score SENATOBIA - Northwest swept doubles competition and picked up singles victories from Joshua Tedford, Gabriel Koonce, Spencer Rios and Campbell Owens, as the Rangers defeated Holmes on Tuesday afternoon, 7-2.

It marked the second win of the season for Northwest, which improved to 2-10 on the season and 2-6 in the MACCC.

Northwest scored dominant victories in all three doubles matches, including an 8-1 win on court one from Koonce and Tedford. The duo of Dallas Lane and Gunner Pitt also picked up an 8-4 triumph at No. 3 doubles against Jordan Leech and Parker McLendon.

In singles competition, Tedford swept his opponent on court one with two shutout sets. Koonce also took a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles against Garrett Myers, while Owens earned a three-set tiebreaker win at No. 5 singles, defeating Mason Speed by a 6-4, 5-7 [10-8] margin.

At No. 3 singles, Rios took a 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory against Jonathan Mitchell, while Pitt fell 6-1, 6-2 on court six to Jonah Lyons.

Northwest will close out the home portion of the regular season schedule on Wednesday, March 27 against Northeast. The Sophomore Day match will begin at 3 P.M., with sophomore recognition ceremonies scheduled for 2:30 P.M.
