BOONEVILLE - The winning ways continued for the Northwest volleyball team on Friday, as the Lady Rangers swept Northeast and Bevill State with a pair of 3-0 shutout wins.
Northwest improved to 21-15 on the season with the victories, marking the program's first 20-win campaign in just the fourth season for coach

Northwest will take on Pearl River on the road Monday evening in Poplarville, with first serve scheduled for 5 P.M. The match will be carried on

Northwest 3, Northeast 0
(Set scores: 25-10, 25-19, 25-15)
Northwest wasted no time grabbing the momentum in Friday's opening set at Northeast, and the Lady Rangers pushed through a closer second set en route to the shutout victory.
Jacia Hayes led the Lady Rangers with nine kills, while
Anna Lott and
Kaley Rikard finished with eight kills each. Rikard also added seven digs, as
Caroline Howard posted a team-high 11 digs.
Cristen Cleveland also earned nine digs, six service aces and five kills, while
Kailey Gooch posted six kills of her own.
Northwest 3, Bevill State 0
(Set scores: 25-23, 25-18, 25-13)
Though Bevill State put Northwest on the ropes in the opening set, the Lady Rangers gradually wore down the Lady Bears, pulling away for a big third-set victory and a 3-0 match win.
Hayes once again led the Lady Rangers in kills, earning 10, while also posting four blocks. Rikard totaled nine kills and four digs, as Howard added a team-leading 17 digs and Lott added four blocks.
Gooch also finished with seven kills, while Cleveland and Dyer combined for 13 digs.
