Northwest Captures Road Victory at ASU Mid-South

Rangers to travel to Co-Lin in regular season finale

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - A solid second half start helped lift Northwest to an 81-62 triumph at Arkansas State Mid-South on Tuesday evening.

ASU Mid-South led for most of the first half and took a 40-36 advantage into the halftime break. However, the Rangers came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, starting with a 12-2 run that would eventually pave the way for a 23-8 span, helping Northwest to a 59-48 lead with 10 minutes left to go.

Although the Greyhounds righted the ship to an extent, the final 10 minutes saw the Rangers remain firmly in control, as Northwest scored 45 second half points in the victory.

Jaylon Sanders led all scorers with a whopping 15-point effort, coupled with five rebounds and three assists. Isaiah Gaines and Ethan Pickett totaled 12 points each and the duo combined for 13 rebounds.

Northwest improved to 16-6 on the season with the victory, while the Greyhounds dropped to 11-11 overall. The Rangers will travel to Copiah-Lincoln on Thursday, February 17 for the regular season finale.
