SENATOBIA - In a rare Saturday contest, Northwest used a strong second half showing to defeat Meridian 55-48 at Howard Coliseum.
Northwest trailed 33-27 at halftime, but outscored the Eagles 31-15 over the course of the second half to improve to 14-6 on the season and 7-5 in conference play.
Isaiah Gaines led all scorers with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, while
Joseph Cooper added 12 points.
James Richards III led the charge off the bench, scoring 10 points for the Rangers.
Northwest will host Southwest Mississippi in its final regular season home game on Monday, February 14. The game will also be Sophomore Night for the Rangers, with tipoff expected at 6 P.M.
