Late Goal Dooms Lady Rangers in Division Loss to East Central

SENATOBIA - In a match that seemed destined for an overtime battle, East Central's Sasha Clare boomed in a long kick from Nicole O'Neill in the final minute of regulation, as Northwest fell 1-0 on Friday afternoon.

Northwest had several chances to strike first throughout the match, but the Lady Warriors' defense held strong to keep the match in a scoreless draw.

Maggie Olive finished with 10 saves despite the loss, while East Central's Olivia Clark also netted 10 saves in her team's victory.

With the loss, Northwest dropped to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the MACCC North Division, while East Central jumped to 7-0-2 and 4-0-1 in division play.

Northwest will return to action next Friday, May 7 against Hinds for a 1 P.M. kick. The Lady Rangers previously defeated Hinds 2-1 in a double overtime battle in Raymond on April 20.
