Sidney Black, Jr. got the ball and his best opportunity of the match.
Black delivered the golden goal and his second career game-winner in the 108th minute, helping Northwest outlast Hinds, 2-1, in a hotly-contested division battle. The win improved the Rangers to 3-9-1 on the season and 3-3 in the MACCC North Division, greatly boosting the postseason chances for Northwest.
In all, 17 infractions were issued between the two teams, mainly occurring during the final 15 minutes of regulation and during both overtime periods. No direct red cards were given, though a couple of players received two yellow cards, equating to an ejection.
Hinds was whistled for 17 fouls, while the Rangers were hit with 14 total.
Northwest struck first in the 17th minute, as
Luis Cosme connected with Jesus Villegas to put the Rangers up 1-0. Hinds responded in the 37th minute with a goal from Gavin Gaudin, tying up the match at 1-1, where it would remain throughout the rest of regulation and into double overtime.
Hinds outshot Northwest 29-14 during the course of the match, but the Eagles edged the Rangers 17-11 in shots on-goal. Hinds also finished with 11 corner kicks, compared to just four for Northwest.

Xzavier Paylor helped the Rangers remain in striking distance, finishing with 16 critical saves.
