MACJC Rebranded as Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference

JACKSON - When athletics are allowed to safely resume for Northwest, the Rangers will be competing under a new conference name.

Earlier today, the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) retired its longtime name in a video announcement by conference commissioner Steve Martin. The new name of the conference moving forward will be the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC).

The MACJC was established in the late 1980s after a majority of Mississippi's two-year institutions dropped the term "junior college" from their titles. Its original label was the Mississippi Junior College Athletic Association (MJCAA).

Accompanying the rebranding announcement was the unveiling of a new logo, slogan, website, social media platforms and a new mobile app.
