SENATOBIA – Aside from a win on No. 3 singles from
Dalton Young, Mississippi Gulf Coast took most of the momentum in Tuesday afternoon's match, as Northwest fell 8-1 to the 14th-ranked Bulldogs.
Northwest fell to 1-4 on the season, while the Bulldogs advanced to 11-3 overall.
Gulf Coast swept all three points in doubles play, despite a hard effort from Young and
Zak Harbin at the No. 2 slot.
Young's win was about the only highlight for the Rangers in singles play, with the Bulldogs claiming wins on the other five courts.
Northwest will host Holmes on Friday, April 7, beginning at 10 a.m.
