DECATUR – Playing its second match in a mere 24 hours, the Northwest women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 road decision at East Central Saturday morning.
Northwest fell to 3-7 on the year with three regular season matches remaining.
The Lady Rangers got off to a great start in doubles play with hard-fought 8-5 and 9-7 wins at Nos. 1 and 3.

Katie Burrall improved to 4-6 at the No. 1 position while the Emily's improved to 5-2 at No. 3.
Leading 2-1 heading into singles play, Northwest was swept in all six matches to drop the match 7-2.

Emily Standard (No. 5) both went to third-set tiebreakers before bowing out.
Weather permitting, Northwest will return to action on Tuesday, April 12 against Copiah-Lincoln at 2 p.m.
