COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Freshman Dalton Young has been named Northwest's first-ever NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Player of the Week after going a combined 5-1 on the court last week.

The Halls, Tenn., product was 3-0 in singles play at the No. 3 position and 2-1 at No. 2 doubles alongside Zak Harbin in matches against Northeast, No. 14 Meridian and East Central.

After dropping his first singles match of the year at No. 2, Young has since won 10 consecutive matches at No. 3 and is 10-1 overall. In doubles play with Harbin, the duo is a combined 7-4.

Young and the Rangers play their final home match Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m. against East Central.
