SENATOBIA – Northwest claimed three victories in singles play on Friday but it wasn't enough to pull out the overall win, as the Lady Rangers fell 5-4 to East Central on Sophomore Day at The ROC.
Northwest dropped to 4-8 on the season with the loss.
Katie Burrall and
Piper Johnson took their doubles match, 8-4, at the No. 1 position, but the Lady Warriors claimed the next two matches by a pair 8-3 and 8-6 decisions to come away with a 2-1 advantage after doubles competition.
Johnson and

Emily Standard also rallied from a first-set loss to take a gritty 6-7, 7-5, 10-6 victory at the No. 5 position against Emily Dykeman. From there, the Warriors took the remaining singles matches and edged the Lady Rangers, 5-4.
