NEW ALBANY –
Building upon a 2-1 lead after doubles play, Northwest took four of six singles matches and held off Northeast 6-3 on the road Tuesday at BNA Bank Park.
Northwest improved to 2-2 on the season and will host Holmes on Thursday afternoon in Senatobia.
Despite dropping the match on court one, Northwest responded with a pair of 8-3 and 8-1 wins from
Zak Harbin and
Dalton Young on court two and
Thomas Hall and
Luke Wilson on court three to clinch the doubles victory.
Northwest then rolled off singles victories on courts three through six despite falling to Jesus Osorio and Jacob Price on the first two courts. The Rangers outscored Northeast 4-2 in singles play to solidify the 6-3 win.
