SENATOBIA – Freshman
Allison Williams was 4-for-7 with a double and three runs scored and was one of 12 different Rangers with a hit in a season-opening sweep of Mississippi Delta Wednesday afternoon by 6-1 and 10-2 (5 inn.) finals.

Kat Holley's RBI-triple in the second inning scored
Hailee Kolwyck for the Rangers' first run of the season and Northwest added four runs off six hits in the fourth to pull away for a 6-1 victory.
Freshman
Tori Luke finished 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs and scattered four hits and one run in six innings of work to pick up her first collegiate victory.
Sallie Rose Carver tossed a scoreless seventh with a pair of strikeouts.
Williams had three of the Rangers' 11 hits while
Kayla Andrada added a pair and Carver added a three-run double.
(Game 2) A seven-run first inning, aided by three Lady Trojan errors, allowed Northwest to cruise to a five-inning victory.
Freshman
Annah Catherine Storey's bases-clearing triple highlighted the big inning. Kolwyck added a two-run single.
Delta scored single runs in the second and fifth innings, the lone runs given up by
Ashton Needham in 4.1 innings of work. Needham scattered four hits, seven walks and three strikeouts to earn the win.
All 10 runs given up by Delta game two starter, Mercedes Johnson, were unearned.
Northwest will head to Booneville Friday-Saturday to compete in the annual Northeast TigerFest.
